MEETING MAY 24

Memco Brigid: going through emails from prospectives/ companys/ organizations that we have missed. Compiling a list of places that would be good to post flyers. I’m glad to see we have a lot of interested people

Maintenance: Brigid: Started off the week on Monday having a repair guy come. I paid him $100 to say there’s nothing wrong with it. They said maybe because it’s old and it gets used a lot it overheats (later in the day). This seems consistent - it gets stuck in afternoons and evenings. I am going to try it next week to replace the drain pump which seems pretty easy but do have to take apart washing machine. Eevee: something Shane brought up. it could be the pipes are clogged. Brigid: ive snaked the exit drain but it seems weird. That indicates the hoses are ok. But I will keep that in mind. Going to try to recruit Shane to help me.

Grounds Eevee: mosquitos mosquitos. I have mosquito traps. If we could make sure the lids on the trash cans are closed, when it rains they collect water and collect a lot of mosquitos. The garden is growing better

Treasurer Eevee: finance meeting was talking about toykos payment plan and Allie our accountant wants full documented history and chea would like more insight. They also want to make sure that no payment plan exceeds the lease agreement which could affect Tokyos lease. We have house budget tonight. Corey should be joining us shortly.

Food shopper Alex: trying to take note of what food we eat more of to reduce food waste. Trying to be more thorough in making my shopping list. I have realized sometimes I don’t look in certain places so trying to be better at that.

Steward Bailey: been picking up some loose ends and trying to figure things out with book keeping making sure we are following open book policy. I mostly made the motion last week to help figure out the eviction notice but I think the CHEA Board will revise this

Chea Bailey: we will talk about Tokyos payment plan and get all the finance people on it and do a financial investigation.

Labor Zar Bailey: trying my best to get Ella to do it and be great. Kyle kindly wants to help out. I don’t know if printer is working so I might hand make ballots so we can pass this. It’s especially hard when printer isn’t working.

KAF: whoever is taking care of KAF. make sure to put old stuff and put newer stuff behind it. if it looks bad or old, you can toss it.

(Bailey and Eevee) house budget vote

Bailey: when we started this meeting, my bro informed me we dont have access to some of the files we needed. corey planned on coming but when we decided to redo our rent rates they wanted to give us extra time. this week corey is at la rey and next week he was planning on being here. next week is a heart meeting so we dont have agenda. we could have an emergency meeting . we either need to vote tonight to make next meeting an emergency meeting or if we dont then we need to make flyers to have one during the week. tonight we can talk about and pass the rent rates tonight but i think we should wait for corey.

david: what is not on the agenda tonight

bailey: we were supposed to vote on the entire house budget but corey changed schedule. we will have to do that part next week but we can vote on rent portion of the budget

eevee: i want to get everyone in the house to try to have this convo and i want peoples voices to be heard. we have two options: one favors the house one favors room size.

david: im not going to be back for the june 3rd. jessi is almost 24 hrs a day. she is unavailable because she is running 11 houses.

Olivia: I was under the impression that room evaluations would be an ongoing conversation. I thought this would be the cost of living adjustments I thought this was just the inflation adjustments but this feels premature and is also a crushing number to look at. Yall can call me back in if you don’t have quorum but I thought this was an inflation. I thought we had 6 more months.

eevee: olviia the proposal i have been working on it thats the assumption i had. david m did more work on it. i have went over house meetings. i have pushed for it to be stalled and offering things as different alteratives. this is the direction its gone. im sorry that it feels quick. its faster than i wanted it as well

eevee: i motion that we vote for columb g (area proportional rate - room) vs column i (proportional rate devided by 4 home). i am in favor of column i

bailey: we need to specify which one. it sounds like they are interested in propsing for column i and i am interested in proposing for column g.

eevee: this is a long standing problem. he didnt want to lose steem and wanted to get it done that is progress in this area.

david: people are asking questions this.

bailey: this is part 2 of discussion that happpened last week. we went into a lot of detail. i would encourage you to look at minutes from last week. we are wanting to more equitably price.

eevee: i was mistaken for these numbers. this is to reduce the. the principal remains the same for both. this is solely square footage. these numbers are dramatic more on the left side. whatever we did with any of the ammenities made for say justins room a lot more expensive. trying to make that not such an adjustment for him.

olivia: thanks everyone for giving me grace to understand what we were voting on as quickly as possible. my black berry bush has a ton of berries. i ate my first one since last year. it tasted perfectly adequate. most berries are still red. they are not ripe until they turn into rasberries. theres are some sort of pumpkin or melon thats growing

david: i am calling community call to action. there are a bunch of things that arent covered. ella put our stuff out of the landry room. these are things that fall through the cracks. when an individual who isnt here all the time has to step in, it should show us we should come up with someone. we want to hold people accountable. a pan was left out there. it took someone who isnt living here to make an action happen
