Just a friendly reminder to not leave dishes in the sink. If it needs to soak, be hand washed or you'll come back to it soon that's ok. Just put a clothespin on it.
Historically, the expectation has been to make your dishes look clean before placing them in the black dirty dish bins. IMO, it's not strictly necessary to scrub everything with soap and water, but dirty dishes should be visibly clean before being put in the bins as this reduces the dishwasher workload a lot.

I think the grease trap folks should be here Tuesday to do a cleaning and inspection. working with Owen on the kitchen remodel, trying to make progress there. working with LaRe on their rat problem. I'll be around to work on those sorts of things in Shane's old room doing some admin stuff too. try not to bother me if you don't have to. I may just be here the whole week to get some stuff done.

New business
Ruth: I want to talk about how I can continue to stay every other month. I was thinking we could use the David M model, but I'm not a staff member so we'd need to figure out what else may work. we need to figure out what would make it worthwhile for the house.
David Q: the things we've talked about before–is it 3 days every month?
Ruth: every other month
David Q: what about the hostel thing? we had talked about it before. we all love you– I don't think anyone is going to go against it…
Ruth: i think that would be true for the first couple times but I want to make sure it's not annoying to the co-op.
Jessi:
David M: I think a numver of things. maybe if you polled the house and asked when they like to watch TV etc in that room. maybe there's certain weeknights.
Ruth: maybe we could do a house calendar.
David M: it could also be that, especially if you wanted some flexibility into when you came, it'd be hard to build into the labor schedule. what's something you'd want to do while you're here or is there something you'd like to do remotely? what're you qualified for or excited about doing?
Ruth: maybe maintenance things or projects
Eevee: I like the calendar idea–i like a physical one but digital ones are probably more efficient. the idea that comes to my mind is what we could offer would be like a “tenured alumni” status for special people. maybe something along those lines–that way it's not just for you but for other folks that have been around before. I don't think it's a huge burden at all. if it's someone who has obviously loved this place–it would be disrespectful to not welcome you.
David Q: I think what I see is alumni make a specific contract that's for a favored resident and say “I will contribute to the household in these ways: 1, 2,3…
Ruth: I think being a continuing resource for the house too, would be important. so for not just the days when i'm here but for also when there's an issue
