JESSI: thought point of membership was to make behavioral contract. knows she’s a limiting factor with schedule, but wants to make this a more open discussion. opens floor to Olivia about the behavior contract OLIVIA: believes its currently a zero toleration policy she would immediately [insert note from Brigid that was added to the agenda] JESSI: who decided behavior contract wasn’t written?
EVEE: was at meeting. believed it was voted on [correction, nothing at this meeting was voted on due to too few people] JESSI: this is just a jumping off point. so, what do we feel like we can really commit to? JUSTIN: theres two options that seem like work. Brigid’s mentioned trainers, unsure how much that’s been explored DAVID: sent links of trusted trainers, 3 or 4, to Justin, to send them to Olivia JUSTIN: does Olivia think it would help? OLIVIA: doesn’t know where she’d make the space for that. beyond money, she’s very mired in her days off. training requires a commitment that she can’t emotionally give. feels she can’t deal with it quietly, as it’s just hanging over her head. it all feels very intimidating. not opposed, but it is scary JUSTIN: the money thing, sounds like some people do a session or two free. seems plausible to take a step or two down that path with little cost JESSI: whats the concern of the house vs the concern of the owner? we’re looking for peace and quiet. that is achieved by the owner. knows there are volunteers ready to help too DAVID: referring to links to Justin. links sent all had free evaluation included on purpose to help Olivia EVEE: legal equivalent to this is eviction hold off. wants a more informal and less threatening agreement to make this less weighty. maybe reduce severity of action, though it is no less severe. no one should be ill affected, but reducing the severity would make this easier OLIVIA: money not issue. anxiety is the issue. feels like she’s been in a constant state of reliving Tyson’s membership review, and finds it hard to keep up with the demand to enthusiastically come to these meetings when it’s so hard BRIGID: wants to propose roles working so the people that care can get together. Olivia needs support, and so do Jessi and David. it’s more complex than ‘fix it and out’, but also not a ‘well we can’t do anything about it’ EVEE: again, the common in these meetings is the stress level. if we can reduce the stress from a personal conflict to a process conflict, to a taking it down to a more calm, regular issue.thinks if we can address this a more friendly way, more progress can be made OLIVIA: wants to repeat and recommit to posting her schedule, having whiteboard available, making better use of hours she does have with him. JESSI: it is a hard thing to do. we’re all just trying to figure out how to work this out, for Pippin too. we just need a plan, an agreement, in order to document the line the sand. or even just a gradient. is the pressure is too much, instead work to incremental goals EVEE: not trying to halt progress. the terms of having measurable peace is impossible. it feels like we would need to be very, very thorough with this, and if we weren’t, it wouldn’t be successful.
