(Bailey) Discuss discrepancy in Tokyos balance due to the house. Vote on solution

bailey: if your on email list, you may have seen confusing emails. tokyo came up to me to let me know that she had a convo with justin about outstanding balance. didnt know about this. justin showed me misssing payments. when i went back to tokyo, she had different numbers. ally and eevee went through bank acount to narrow down how much she owes. i havent been able to serve eviction bc of discrepency. i heard about it the 13th of month but usually eviction notice is 10th. we have this for liability and a template. the template shows how much that is. i want to vote on how much that is. it is

eevee: total charges for rent from oct to present is $7000. we have recieved $4000. $3364 is discrepency intitally. david m said $800 in money orders that went missing. that would bring down money to $2564. there was also an additional payment for $936 by ruth. that brings new balance to $1628. proposing tokyo to have remainding balance of $100 per month until o

tokyo: potential of paying more $100 per month. had a hard couple of couple months

kyle: im curious what the story is $800 money order

tokyo: had 2 money orders go missing. justin confirmed over text he wasnt sure who was reposible. one of them he replaced. i have texts to not pay them back until it was sorted. then this month, he replaced one of them as a nice gesture not sure. he seems like he acknoledges he potentially lost them but being open to it being anyones fault. i need the recipt to get them replaced - dont have that.

bailey: its my job to post eviction notice. it says tokyo has 7 days to pay rent or leave premises. this contract is specifying that we are not expecting her to pay the entire amount. we expect the remaining balance over time

MOTION PASSES

(Bailey) *Need to vote on by next week* Discuss rent rates and repricing rooms based on size and amenities

Bailey: 4 years ago i became memco. some of our rooms are priced in a way that does not seem like it makes sense. overtime sometimes when we do our budget we vote to do a flat rate increase. this makes smaller rooms much more expensive and bigger rooms cheaper than they should be. we are proposing to more equitably distirbute our rent without totally disrupting what we do have on.

Eevee: we have 3 seperate proposals. the main argument is how much we value the house or your own personal rooms. if we value the value of our rooms more it makes the smaller rooms cheaper. if we value house more, it does the opposite. the 3 options: smallest minimal change (room 5 and 11), biggest changes will be for room 3, 5,6, and 7 have)

bailey: can we put this on the tv becuase we cant see.

eevee: cory and david would like us to move forward with a plan today. i think valuing the house more - less a dramatic change but generally about the same. will mka

justin: was this shared anywhere

eevee: this is through our finance folder

kyle: is 545 of valuing of common space is for larger shift

eevee: the factor multiplier is with our amenities. i was trying to make david get all these numbers to be less than $50 increase. more equity !

bailey: do you have current prices anywhere

alex: i know there was a plan that was more dramatic. is the plan to be closer to dramatic shift.

eevee: in future, things will be more e

bailey: seeing this is nice. when i moved in $715. im more swayed by one that

kyle: do we need to vote on this now.

eevee: we need an agreed

tokyo: my room is not small but i have no electrical

eevee: it does apply. there is a way to calculate for. the reason why i dont want to do that. every aspect for every room to be agreed upon in every sense. its hot in eli rooms but you have your own exit. these are taking into account more finite resources: fan, windows.

kyle: to get a gage on fairness. im looking at sq footage and big discreptency

eevee: over time, our cheapest room started being $11 per sqft. then justins or olivia, it was $4. the flat adjustment caused this. trying to make things as equitable as possible, how much is living here for your room and how much is for your house. a way brigid offered to factor is a flat fee ($200).

bailey: i feel like these are two options that we have. im interested in doing which do you like best. this is a chunk of the budget. having an idea of what we like best. this usually takes up all the meat.

eevee: we could do simple majority and save votes for option you like most.

bailey: going to get paper

eevee: do we value own personal space or shared space.

INTIAL VOTE:

valuing room size (left): 5

valuing common space (right): 3
