AC after 2 week trial

KYLE: Basically we did 2 week trial to see what darkside at 70 during 9 pm to 7 am, what that would do to electricity bill. End of two weeks was on Friday. Me putting it on the agenda is a where are we at, what are we going to do

EEVEE: Remodel means higher energy output in darkside. Possibly change temperature to 74. Can we still observe change with the energy output change? Cooler air but not dramatic.

ALEX: Have you noticed a difference? Has it helped?

BAILEY: Nervous about the system breaking. Worried about room getting hot w fridges

DAVID: Idea that the individual units placed in was to steady the energy consumption. We already went through this. The question of putting an individual unit in there. The idea was we would do this in two weeks and do another test. What is next portion of the test? An increase of ? 74?

Bailey: Eevee suggested 74

Kyle: I dont remember a secondary plan. No additional data. I feel like we are beating around the bush. Not talking about how people on Brightside get to turn ac whatever they want. Not fair.
DAVID: First part of experiment was 2 weeks. From there, where do we go? First and foremost, the main thing going on was your health in the first place. I believe 74 regulated as an experiment. No?

KYLE: To my knowledge it was 2 weeks at 70 and then we check the cost and have more information.

EEVEE: Plan not able to be executed from my end

BAILEY: All common spaces are 78

EEVEE: Issues between darkside and brightside temp is a different conversation and I get why you feel that way but i think we just need to figure out getting you in a space thats comfortable that financially doesnt impact others in the community

KYLE: I am giving the benefit of the doubt that there is a rule. I cant find the rule. I asked David. I cant find it. Im giving benefit of the doubt. Brightside is not actually paying extra for those rooms. Not an extra cost. Need solution until then. Open to having a mini split but thats not a now thing. Thats a new window and a window unit. In search of a solution for now.

DAVID: I dont know why we didnt suggest this. Do we have rooms with more controlled temperature?

BAILEY: Yes

DAVID: can we move you in there?

KYLE: I dont want to. I just painted it. People are uncomfortable why not do something about it?

BAILEY: Temp is still at 70 at night after the trial period is over. We have an open room on the other side with AC ready. I like David’s idea.

KYLE: I am also thinking about expenses. Obviously Brightside is using electrical to have their temperature how they want it. Uniform number for Bright and Darkside. Extend by a week and then get data.

EEVEE: Adjusting the whole house is less than ideal due to variables. Plan of action we should just extend and get more information on where we are at for next month, so we can make adjustment with more information. If we change the Brightside now, it doesnt change people being able to change temp of their own room. Now entire space pumping out ac vs one zone of the house. Which we are hoping wont change the bills much ,but it is july. It is hot the bills are high. My fear is if its too high to pay, we shouldnt ask kyle to pay difference either.

DAVID: No brainer. This is business but we must meet needs of an individual. Objectively, the answer is a unit in your room. I know this because we did this and the cost was absorbed by the budget we have.

EEVEE: The root is we want to do the trial. We dont have the information on cost. Can we agree on a higher temperature.

KYLE: Why?

EEVEE: We dont know what the bills may be. The amount of power coming out of that side will be different.

DAVID: Answer is individual unit. What youre speaking about is no point to the situation. This is a thing. Fix all that without messing with. More or less.

BAILEY: Motion

Bailey and Brigid look into cooling units for Kyle’s room and approve purchase, if we can find one that fits. Until a personal air conditioning unit is installed in Room 3, the Darkside thermostat may be set as low as 72 degrees at night.

JUSTIN: Doesnt know where lands as a solution

KYLE: treating sleep differently. Im taking a hit to my health.

DAVID: Theres an understanding that we are trying to do this quickly, your health counts. We are willing to do what it takes. The idea that we are not doing this fast. We have to.

Kitchen Remodel
JUSTIN: If Room 6 is open, Doesnt take up a lot of space in the darkside. Do we want temp kitchen in Room 6 or darkside

BAILEY: do we need to use outside door

JUSTIN: We could access sometimes when they arent actively working maybe. We dont know when they will actually start the work. They say a week after contractor comes. I feel like longer. Foundation company this week, we will have access. In a few weeks, we would have to go around the house to room 6. Would be easier to move in and out if it were in room 6

DAVID: Youre saying to put stuff in there when remodel is going on? Move through there but not the other side of it?

JUSTIN: Not kitchen but room 6 access from outside

DAVID: Whatever is there since we are talking about the kitchen. No moving from kitchen to garden of eden. Simple solution. Modify guard rails down fridges in garden of eden. Cooking outside whatever. Hasnt been suggested.

EEVEE: My concern with room 6 is it is easier but to use it as kitchen is legwork. Yeah. is my fear. Question of what are we fitting in there? We cant fit all the kitchen? What in there? Where other things go?

JUSTIN: metal tables for dishwashing and storage, shelving units. Industrial sink on back porch if we want to set up. Hoping to not move big fridge. Even moving small one will be an ordeal. Hopefully others can remain in place. Temp fridge for a couple hundo bucks.

Will need help if people havent done labor holiday. Stuff to move. We dont need for foundation contractors. Next couple weeks tho.

DAVID: How long take?

JUSTIN: They say one week for main renovation.

DAVID: Rent fridge. We can cook everything on back porch outside of room 6. Rent equipment to cook. Temporary solution. We dont have to move entire kitchen.

JUSTIN: Um yeah definitely um yeah i havent been sure what we may need. Propane stove? Maybe David knows. I wrote up overview but main thing is we have a lot to move. Box it up move it. Tables. Theres gunna be demolition of the cabinets.

BAILEY: Save the flowers

JUSTIN: tell me whatcha need i dont wanna be bossy bossy. I can be a source of whats going on. Do you want a list? Maybe we can get away with not moving everything. Next couple days. Move tables and move the fridge. Preference between room 6 or darkside???

ALEX: I think it will be a messy situation. I think we will have basic plan and then as days go by the pieces will come together and then by the time we get used to it the kitchen will be back to normal. We will figure it out.
