Why do you want to live at Sasona? learned about it in 2022. before that, i had educated myself on co-op living. a big part of it is the community and affordability. i was really impressed when i visited the first time. i like how things are run. it did not seem chatoic. i volunteer and understand the responsibilites for the community.

• DARKSIDE BATHROOM AND HALLWAY Weekday vs. weekend: At times the bathroom is cleaned twice a week. Weekday is considered Tuesday-Thursday and weekend is Saturday or Sunday.
  • Darkside Bathroom:
    • Get rid of clutter. Throw out empty bottles, dead soap, old razors or anything else you see sitting in the exact same spot for weeks on end. If worried it belongs to somebody, leave a note. Toss it the next week. Fill up the hand soap dispenser with Dr. Bronner's soap concentrate found on the bottom shelf of the pantry (1:10 with water). Replace the hand towel and bath mat with a fresh one. Fresh mats are in the laundry room in a marked basket. Take the dirty towel and bath mat to the kitchen and put it in the bin for rags needing to be washed. If the house is using paper towels instead of hand towels, replace the paper towel roll if needed. Extra paper towels are on top of the personal fridge or on the top shelf of the maintenance closet. Clean:
    • Note: Using disinfectant, super hot water, and baking soda for better scrubbing power leads to a much better cleaning. Shower: Spray all walls and surfaces of shower with Simple Green Pro D. Pour baking soda on the bottom of shower and add a little bit of water to make a paste. Scrub (with cleaning brush or green scour pad) ledges, floor, sides, drain, walls, and soap holder. Rinse thoroughly. The first week of each month, weekday cleaner should wash shower curtains in the washing machine. Remove hair that has gotten clogged in the drain. (Motion on 3/12/17). Sink: Spray ledges, bowl, faucet with disinfectant (Simple Green Pro D). Let sit for 2 minutes. Wipe dry with rag. Mirror: Spray with windex or vinegar water solution and wipe with paper towel or microfiber towel (on top of freezer in kitchen). Toilet: Spray base, outside bowl, seat, lid, tank, and tank lid with disinfectant (Simple Green Pro D). Let sit for 2 minutes. Wipe dry with rag. Cover all sides of the inside of the toilet bowl with toilet bowl cleaner. Scrub bowl with toilet brush. Let sit for 5 minutes. Flush. Basically if it’s a flat surface, remove whatever is sitting on it. Squirt some Simple Green Pro D on it. Let it sit for a few minutes. Wipe it dry with rag. Put back the stuff that was there. Spray all door knobs, light switches, and handles with disinfectant. Let sit for 2 minutes. Wipe dry. Sweep floor then mop the floor with Simple Green Pro D. To mop: Get mop pole from mail monolith and mop head from basket by GUFF freezer. Press mop head on Velcro bottom of the mop pole. Spray a section of the floor with Simple Green Pro D. Allow 2 minutes to sit. Scrub floor with mop, trying to remove as much dirt as possible. Spray another section and repeat until you’ve done the whole floor from wall to wall. If needed, bring in extra rolls of toilet paper from the laundry room under the wooden table. Take out trash and replace it with a new trash bag. Darkside Hallway:
    • Vacuum the rugs in the hallway that runs the length of the dark side, connecting the entrance way and the TV room and remove them. Sweep and mop the floors with Simple Green Pro D. To mop: Get mop pole from mail monolith and mop head from basket by GUFF freezer. Press mop head on Velcro bottom of the mop pole. Spray a section of the floor with Simple Green Pro D. Allow 2 minutes to sit. Scrub floor with mop, trying to remove as much dirt as possible. Spray another section and repeat until you’ve done the whole floor from wall to wall. Return the rugs. Tidy up the shelves right outside the bathroom door. Throw away trash, put miscellaneous items back where they belong, and make things look organized. Spray all door knobs, light switches, and handles with disinfectant. Let sit for 2 minutes. Wipe dry.

Not much to report this week. Thanks to everyone who's reminded me of things we're out of or given me suggestions on what they'd like to have in the kitchen. The feedback helps alot, since I only have two sets of eyes and one brain. Keep bringing any comments, questions or concerns my way.
Grounds Coordinator: havent done much. been very busy. i am excited to abdicate both positions when there are people. i wont be able to fufill these rolls because of work.
Kitchen Kaiser:
Labor Czar: Kyle: at first stab at reorienting needs for new labor schedule. feel free to tell us if you need adjustment. open communication policy. we do need to decide on the cj membership review. april and may count but you have until june to make up labor. cj can still do labor to make up fines but he still needs a membership review.
Maintenance Coordinator: brigid: really hard to get new washing machine. tried to get us commmercial machine. sent them an email a week ago no answer. i reached out to moms friend about used appliances but will still take 60 days. talked to david m about kitchen remodel. did research on how to fix elis broken doors. reached out to electrician about installing a sub panel from dark side. were thinking about adding one to kitchen.

eevee: had floated between working and not working. in next 2 weeks, i will work over 100 hrs. i will not be covering cook shifts. i will be very tired. this is me asking people to step up. i am not going to be doing that anymore. the kitchen is going to be a mess. i feel bad that i wont be able to do what id like. im sorry i cant do that anymore. i dont have that availability anymore.

bailey: in my experience, there have been cycles where some individuals put in a lot of work. when we dont have a singular person who is the most helpful one in the house, everyone becomes a lot more helpful. its better for our culture to share responsibilities.

bailey: ruth is going to be here from july 1-12. maybe we could plan welcome event.

brigid: it was recently brought to my attention that chea board rep is 2 hrs per month but position is 2 lumps per week.

bailey: its a lot being on call with david. sending texts and emails to corey.

eevee: i have been a liason for david m this willl be something other people will need to take more time.

brigid: i am just wondering is it an overshot. i communicate with david m a lot. he might want more of your time. i wonder if thats a place where rebalance. more lumps or next duties

bailey: nobody wants to do it if its 1 lump. personally i should abdicate position. steward is supposed to only have 1 position.

brigid: i would do it for 1 lump. it could be good to have people who really want to be there.

kyle: need to aquire 2 dates from this meeting for membership review. im happy to open up floor for disagreement for regulations.

kyle: tried that last week. ella suggested saturday afternoon the 20th. im curious of another time.
