===== Agenda Item @@itemnumber@@ ===== (@@Proposers@@) @@Proposal Text@@ ====== New business ====== Eevee: getting payment plan for next week. did a big job in vegas and will get it by the 15th and be able to pay in full david: there is a late fee of $25 that me and jessi have had ---- dj: our food budget has run a surplus and it would be nice to put that towards kitchen items brigid: we are trying to ease back toward kitchen remodel. we may be not having a kitchen for many months. we could buy things that would be helpful for then too bailey; i think there is a seperate budget for kitchen things and food budget is different dj: box cheese grater ---- corey: its officially budget season. nasco passed budget last weekend. i am np board rep to introduce budget process that goes through may. chea board meeting this thursday. nasco does it, then chea then the house. nasco education asked np to make a donation to nasco. they were asking for 7500. np board approved 5k. in past, np board has approved 10k. np board voted to increase vacancy reserves. a lot of the houses carry debt for people not renting rooms. that debt gets paid off for vacancy reserve. there are a lot of houses that cant pay it. we are inc from 5% to 6%. some reps are saying we need to increase that in future years. if we dont use vacancy reserves, money comes back to us. dj: bailey how does this connect money wise to room 14 bailey: we are not recieving rent for room 14 corey: we end up shorting the amount we pay to np. they make up the difference from vacancy reserves. i can dig out budget and send out. chea board is going to do budget this month. usually there is not a lot of varaible expenses at the board level. this upcoming thurs we are going to draft budgets. i will be at houses following two sundays. next month in may im going to work with treasurers to draft house budgets and try to not make rent go up as much as we can. ---- bailey: matt and gracie wedding reception is next weekend. they were long time co-opers and are coming back from michigan. ruth will be in town for that and also indias. gardenia: my wedding is in a couple of weeks at la rey
