- Sam Schonzeit

- Why do you want to live at SASONA?

- Do you have any pets?
- No, but wants a cat
**First Meeting Question:**
- Full Legal Name
- Thymel Kousa
- Pronouns she/her
- Why do you want to live at SASONA?
- I just moved to the US a year ago and I live alone for 10 months and it's hard to be far from friends and family. After 10 months I feel alone sometimes. I tried community in NYC, and I had a good experience, so I tried to find another one but didn't really connect well with the house. I'd like to be a part of the community for some support.
- When would you want to move in?
- July 31st

Hallo,
Here's what I did for Steward this week:
-- Coordinated with Olivia for Mastodon transfer.
-- Coordinated with David M to have him come for our Heart Meeting about our organizational structure.
-- Made some Facebook posts to drum up some perspectives and communicated with some perspectives to encourage them to come to their meetings.
-- Created a survey--please fill them out!!
-- Received Pippin's documentation for the missing tapeworm meds.
-- Received Beans' documentation -- the last thing we need is either proof of a negative fecal test or proof of meds for tapeworm/hookworm/roundworm.
-- Sent a few emails this week, feel free to check them out! I've started an email series about our community values--so please feel free to share your favorite values stories!!
I'm sure I'm missing a few things on this report but that's the gist of what I did this week. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns!
Thanks all for making this place magickal!
Jessi

====== Agenda Items ======
===== Agenda Item 1 =====
(David M and Jessi) Heart Meeting with David M
David: Let's start with NASCO--they're our big organization. NASCO Properties is the organization that actually owns the properties that are Sasona and La Reunion, which make up CHEA. Sasona and La Re are both a 501c3 under CHEA. Part of this is a structure as a necessity, and also out of support. 2002 NP bought Sasona's property. 2014 they were able to buy LaRe. NASCO Properties is a co-op of coops. We send representatives to them and they deal with the management side of things.
Sidney: does NASCO have something where we can see a map of where the properties are?
Ruth: yes it's out of date
David M: NASCO is mainly focused on education--there's a conference with training. we're just members of NASCO, but NP is actually who owns the properties. it's approx $10M in assets.
Sidney: how unique is NASCO?
David M: there's other co-op organizations, like College Houses--they own their own building. there are other national co-op orgs but they're structured differently. a lot of these coops were created for women to band together to support them in going to college.
Ruth: that's the northeast, but here it's about a country and town
Sidney: do we have relationships with any coops outside the US?
Ruth: in Canada. Canada gets a lot more support from their government
Caleb: i'm curious about the relationship has been between CHEA and NASCO
Ruth: we were CHEA for a long time, but at some point we had a baby and LaRe came about.
