+Jessi: Didn’t pay January rent, or March prorated rent, or late fee. It was $800 and change, but \\ $500 was taken out of his deposit. $300 something owed now. I told the board McAllen plans \\ to appeal. I told them we need you on a payment plan + can’t sign residence. Talked to \\ different people and they said different things as far as how to move forward. Generally they \\ said McAllen should continue associate but shouldn’t do residency.
+McAllen: I can write a check for what they say I owe. That’s one option among others.
+Matthias: I feel extending his associate would be okay with me. Amount due could be paid off \\ over time if money is a restraint. Board can decide residency. House should decide now if \\ McAllen can renew his associate. The board will discuss in a few weeks. \\ Mae: I motion to approve McAllen for a renewed associate contract after he pays the past due \\ money. Alice seconds.
+McAllen: I can write a check. I’d like to go back and check with my bank that the amount they \\ say I owe is accurate. This will be difficult since there was fraudulent activity earlier this year \\ so I closed that account. But whatever y’all say I need to pay I’ll pay it.
+Jessi: If his membership pauses because he doesn’t pay, he’ll have to be a prospective again.
+Matthias: Motion to extend. Motion passes 8-0-0.
+Mae: Once the money is paid he should be good. I don’t understand what Jessi said about his \\ membership ending.
+Matthias: If McAllen didn’t sign a contract today, waited until the board meets in a couple \\ weeks, there’d be a gap. If he signs today, he would be continuing his membership. If he’s \\ willing to pay today, the board probably won’t do anything. If it’s paid it’s paid.
+Kaycie: I support McAllen continuing his membership. Let’s just vote now. Other financial stuff \\ will get figured out.
+Jessi: I’m hearing a motion we’ll want McAllen to continue his associate membership. I’d like \\ to propose a modification to remove that he has to pay the amount owed.
+Mae: I’m confused, I’m surprised you’d propose that.
+Rowan: Can we not just refund the money if it’s found McAllen doesn’t owe the money?
+Kaycie: I feel that’s very inconvenient to write a $300 check right now I don’t want to ask that.
+McAllen: I’m able to write the check. Because I decided to not pursue residency that takes a \\ lot of financial pressure off. So I don’t have an issue paying.
+Mae: I will accept the modification. \\
